I am a seismologist using both seismological observations and numerical simulations to understand the structure, seismic activity, and deformation of major tectonic plate boundaries. My current research focuses on subduction zones and oceanic transform faults. My research group aims to design and conduct field experiments to study these two types of plate boundaries and develop novel data analysis methods on a variety of seismic data types to probe the seismotectonic processes of the plate boundaries with much higher spatiotemporal resolutions.
