Our department participates in the College of Arts and Sciences’ Science Fest, an annual event that invites families, students, and community members to explore science on IU Bloomington’s campus.
EAS was well represented at the Fall 2024 IU Science Fest. Our department’s showing has traditionally been one of the best attended on campus, making this is one of our biggest outreach events each year! With the success of the special Science Fest held on the Eclipse weekend in April, we are excited to continue our outreach this fall!
Here is Alec Suirek's thank-you message to the Science Fest volunteers with a BIG thank-you to Alec and faculty advisor Cody Kirkpatrick for pulling together another GREAT science fest. Thanks to all of you, we made an explosive impact (pun intended!) on the hundreds of visitors who passed by our stations.
Special thanks to the team leaders and co-organizers—Nicolas, Owen, Alec, Cody, JeongYeon, Sayan, Ed, and Stuart—for putting together some great displays.
EAS rules!
Thank you all for your help this weekend, the support that was shown for Science Fest was amazing and I am thankful to each and every one of you who made today happen! I greatly appreciate the enthusiasm and willingness to go the extra mile from all of our +50 volunteers! I hope you all enjoy the rest of your weekend and get some well-earned rest.
Thank you all once again for a fantastic Science Fest!
