Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences

Students will learn to translate geoscience processes, such as fluid flow, heat transfer, transport problems, water-rock interactions, and wave propagation into mathematical models. Focus will also be placed on developing numerical solutions to the ordinary and partial differential equations that describe these processes.  Class meets in person.
